Description
Job Responsibilities:
The Section Engineer plans, controls engineering, and supervises production resources, ensuring
compliance with project and company systems. Key duties include health and safety briefings,
producing/reviewing RAMS, and maintaining high safety and environmental standards on site.
They manage the construction site to meet project delivery objectives, maintaining health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control. They deliver multiple projects to the specified quality, schedule, and
commercial performance. The role involves close collaboration with the Operations Department, engineers, and surveyors to ensure safe project completion, meeting or exceeding client requirements and expectations.
• Providing material take offs from drawings and submitting to the Project Manager
• Produce and implement site set up schedules, liaising with the Project Manager
• Carry out full site inductions, following Beaver Bridges Ltd. internal procedures
• Produce buildability studies
• Carry out full daily task briefings, end of shift reports and site inspections
• Manage health and safety performance of the site and ensure full compliance is always achieved
liaising with the Project Manager and H&S officer
• Effectively manage both internal site operatives and sub-contractors throughout a project
• Liaise with our client throughout a project and maintain Beaver Bridges’ exceptional standards and
customer relationships whilst being their daily point of contact
• Liaising with suppliers to maintain efficient deliveries to site
• Any other duties as required by the Senior Management Team
• Be responsible for all quality assurance requirements to demonstrate compliance with the specification
• Perform the role of Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator
• Develop site programs to show resource requirements, important milestone deliverables and any
other important information required to administer the contract
• Work closely with internal Beaver Bridges departments to safely deliver planned works
Job Requirements:
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• CSCS Card
• In-date First Aid at Work Certificate (or be willing to be trained)
• Experience working on large projects
• Full driving licence
• Enthusiasm for the core values and aims of our company
• Be self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong teamwork ethos but able to work alone under own initiative when required
• Ability to work away for long duration projects
• TWS or TWC qualification preferable
• Experience in planning and scheduling software (Microsoft project, Asta, P6)
• Ability in AutoCAD software
